The latest IGD forecast has food to go sales set to rise by a third to £23.5bn by 2022 as new consumers buy into healthy options, and coffee shop chains improve their food offering.
The foodservice team of an FMCG manufacturer is, in our experience, frequently under resourced in favour of the bright lights of the Top 4 Grocers, both in terms of manpower and innovation. With volume and value growth challenges within grocery, we believe the time is ripe to invest in innovation in this much maligned but potentially highly profitable sector.
