A Garage to Greatness: Creating HP’s Immersive Silverstone Stand

Summary

CI Group partnered with HP to create an immersive exhibition stand for the SCC Annual Sales Kick Off at Silverstone, home to the British Grand Prix. Our task was to design a stand that embodied HP’s core values of Security, Sustainability, AI, and Windows 11. We were also asked to reflect HP’s recent collaboration with Ferrari. Drawing inspiration from HP’s and Ferrari’s humble beginnings, we crafted a garage space that paid homage to their rich history and technological achievements, making the stand an engaging and memorable experience for attendees.

The Value We Created

CI Group brought value to this project through our innovative design, creating an immersive experience that transported attendees back to HP’s garage origins while showcasing their modern achievements. Our use of metal shelving, bespoke oil drum tables, and wall-mounted pin board displays created a truly unique and engaging environment. The integration of light boxes and strategic product displays ensured HP’s core values and visual identity were front and centre. Our flawless execution delivered a high-quality stand that not only met but exceeded HP’s expectations

The Problem We Solved

We faced the challenge of creating an exhibition stand that encapsulated HP’s core values within the constraints of an island 5×5 metre space with a maximum ceiling height of 2.5 metres. The stand needed to foster meaningful connections and conversations and had to incorporate multiple functional elements such as tiered seating, giveaway storage, and product display areas.  Our solution was to create an immersive space embodying the theme “Winning Together.” that had standout and was open, accessible and visually resonant with the brand.

Our Solution

CI Group’s creative team designed a garage-inspired exhibition stand that captured the essence of HP’s journey from the humble beginnings in a garage in Palo Alto, to their position as one of the world’s leading technological companies. We incorporated black and white photo galleries showcasing key milestones in HP’s technological history and used light boxes for product images and messages. The open design of the stand, with accessible sides and wall-mounted displays, facilitated easy interaction. Unique product showcases included metal shelving and oil drum poseur tables, echoing the garage theme. For giveaways, we chose Engine gin miniatures and co-branded stainless steel mugs with SpillSafe® technology. Our meticulous planning and behind-the-scenes management ensured a seamless setup, allowing HP to focus on engaging with attendees.

When a client chooses to work with CI Group, it’s so important to us that we take the stress and hassle out of delivering events. Our process involves taking a detailed brief, followed by a design phase. Everything else is done behind the scenes and with minimal demand on our client’s busy schedule. The CI Project Manager will visit the venue to assess the room set up, power and lighting situation, liaise with the venue or vendors, manage devices and give aways, appoint a stand builder, produce detailed drawings, RAM’s and documentation, all to schedule. On the day before the event, our clients can be safe in the knowledge that they can arrive on site ready to sign off their finished stand, completed to a very high specification.
