The group started operations in 1996 when Corporate Innovations was founded.
After a success trade sale to Wembley PLC in 2000 by David Watt, he then later lead a management buy out, back from Wembley Plc in 2005 again taking the company private.
The company initially specialised in events and incentives quickly developing into rewards and promotions.
After a further eight years of successful years trading as a private company the decision was taken to add additional specialised services to offer clients more breadth and depth on marketing services, so the business began its acquisition strategy.
David Watt, Group CEO and Corporate Innovations Managing Director
Since 1996, David has steered Corporate Innovations from its beginnings in hospitality through to the award-winning engagement agency it is today. During this time David managed a trade sale to Wembley PLC and after 4 years on the PLC board, running the events services division, he then lead a MBO to take the company private again in 2005.
Under his leadership, and through a series of acquisitions, he has transformed the company into the group of agencies, driving behavioural change through communication and marketing strategies, whilst maintaining continuous growth and profitability for stake holders.
Peter Thompson, Group Chairman and CEO of Roundtable Agency
Peter founded and grew Joshua into a £30m agency. An agency that built its reputation as a pioneer of integration, brand response and shopper marketing, twice winning Agency of the Year that was subsequently bought by WPP.
He joined Corporate Innovations as a non-executive Board Member in 2014 and became Chairman in 2015.
Gareth Baldwin, CI Group Partnerships Director and Corporate Innovations Sales Director
Gareth joined Corporate Innovations in 1997 after meeting the previous owner.
His earlier experience within the music industry during the 80’s and 90’s and then sports and sports management have helped evolve his organisational, negotiation and management skills.
Under his leadership the depth of retained customers has continued to expand alongside a 20% YoY growth in new business over the last four years.
Colin Clark, CI Group Digital Strategist and CID Digital Director
Over 20 years Colin has designed and delivered digital platforms and experiences for B2B, B2E and B2C audiences across a range of industries. Most recently he has conceived and managed large scale engagement programmes that drive positive customer behaviours aligning them closely with brands in fmcg, IT, travel and telecoms.
Tony Williams, Group Finance Director
Tony has been the backbone of all things financial and commercial at Corporate Innovations and then CI Group since 2004. He has brought to bear his sharp commercial acumen, honed in the world of newspaper publishing, Engineering, and the Automotive Industry; and applied that with rigour to ensure that all the numbers stay balanced and we have all the right processes, protocols and accountability required to accurately track every element of every project; all with an eagle eye on the bigger picture!
